    Strength:

Takes terrific photos when you use it as intended. Lots of metal - I like that. Feels solid and other than the two problems reported above, has taken being dropped, used in very cold weather, even used from a water-borne kayak.

    Weakness:

Battery meter seems a little inconsistent. Won't take a 1GB SD card. Seems to be about it.

I seem to be the lone voice in the woods here, because I've not experienced the problems that the other users are reporting. Maybe I'm not using it properly? I don't know. All I do know is that with the exception of a jammed battery door that was quickly resolved (and has not reocurred) and once when the lens refused to extend (also quickly resolved; I put it down to the fact that it was da**ably cold), I've experienced no problems. In fact, I'm delighted with it.

    Customer Service

The Gateway website has been helpful on the two occasions I needed it.
