    Strength:

It's easy to use. It has many different modes and it produces some very high quality pictures for a point an shoot camera. Great camera for a first digital that I've had. It's pretty durable as well. I've dropped it a few times and the batteries flew out and the camera still worked. It's excellent at capturing vivid colors. I've taken some amazing beach pictures in the Mediterranean. The color transitions in the water are captured perfectly. It has a screw on the bottom to place it on a tripod. It has a mode to report the settings you took the last picture in so that you can adjust any setting manually if need be.

    Weakness:

There is not power lock and it's easy to have the knob accidentally turn the power on. Although you can setup an auto off timer.

This is a great camera. I bought it in Greece at the airport in Athens because I forgot my other digital camera in the states and I have to say that the quality is excellent for 5MP point and shoot. It's easy to use and pretty much the menu options are self explanatory with descriptions. You can setup photos as favorites, store photo albums and view your photos as a gallery. It has really good capability for taking portrait modes and close ups. The landscape mode is excellent at taking for scenic photos but the Auto mode works just as well. There is the capability to manually adjust your exposure compensation, ISO speed as well although the camera does that automatically in the different modes. You have modes: night, children, sports, fireworks, beach, snow portrait, macro and movie capability. You can adjust the move resolution as well. I would recommend a SD card since the internal memory will fill up quickly with 5MP resolution pictures but you can adjust the resolution of the camera as well to fit more pictures in your card or internal memory. Included software is good for transferring and for enhancing pictures. It's very easy to use and organize your photo albums. I would recommend rechargeable battery set. I use the 15 min charger of Dynex since it's capable of overseas usage in 220V mode. Energizer or any other chargers don't work overseas even with a converter. You'll end up short circuiting you charger. It happened to me.
