I picked this camera up as an open box special from a photography show back in the fall. That very day I took it out of the box and took it out exploring at a set of four abandoned buildings on my way home. I was pleasently surprised at this little camera. It's SLR like which is great for me, I need a camera I can hold in my hand that looks like a camera and not a box. It was the shape of the camera that first drew me to it, followed by the massive 10X optical zoom (38mm-380mm). The only downfall is the lack of optical stablazation when at full zoom however when shooting at a fast enough shutter speed there isn't really an issue. The third feature I liked about this camera is full manual mode, allowing up to 15" exposure time or in B mode (T on this camera) up to 30", which makes it great for long night exposures, of course you still have to fight with the autofocus, however a flashlight or laser point on the item you wish focus to be on can help with that problem. The main thing I've used this camera for is my Urban Exploration adventures, and this camera performs very well with a powerful flash it can easily light up a small room. Again the autofocus does fall down here, but since UE requires a flashlight, I can illuminate the subject, and that helps. Over all this a great point and shoot digital camera, that stands far above what you'd usually come to expect from p&s's of this calibre.
