Strength:

Super fast.

Audio is KILLER

Weakness:

image quality not the best

I have been doing a lot of research on point and shoot cameras that take good video (HD) and also have great audio built in. I take video of live bands and also take videos of myself and students playing drums to go back and review as a practice tool. The audio MUST be good.
There is not a lot of information on the net about this so...

The Casio exilim S10 is AWESOME. Its small, takes quality HD video and the audio quality is SUPERB. Picks us low bass tones no problem and does not distort at high sound pressure levels. I was right on stage with a band recently and picked up live stage sound but also sound from full speaker stacks right next to me. the built in condenser mic handled it no prob.

One of the few cameras that let you zoom while recording video and you can take still photos while in video mode,

Almost 0 lag time between shutter and capture. Imperceptible. i think its .03 seconds. one of the fastest on the market.

Here is a you tube link of a band i just did some work with.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJAxCSl-A90
All the other videos i have posted of live bands were used with the S10. check it out. You will be shocked at the quality.

If you are looking for a small versatile point and shoot camera that captures great audio, you cant go wrong with this.

Quick youtube uploader
amazing sports pictures

Weakness:

Fair zoom able to get pretty close to an object
Youtube uploader program still has a few bugs still great

This is a great camera for your money.
There are many things about this camera that i like
Starting at the ability to change all the settings
The high iso is also another thing i like after using the nikon coolpics L series
Over all it takes great sharp clear pictures
Also my last add on it is great having many modes including a youtube and ebay mode.

And for you sports fans this is a great camera i bought it because of the recent ban of DSLR cameras at wwe avents it almost matches up my old camera leaves an orange color on most of the pictures but this one does not do it

Strength:

1. Slim.
2. Compact.
3. Lightweight.
4. Sturdy.
5. Excellent battery life in between charge.
6. Clear LCD display.
7. Multi level flash mode.
8. PRICE.

Weakness:

1. Focusing on super close up is difficult.
2. Too Slim, Compact & Lightweight that you may forget carrying one.
3. BEST SHOT COUPLING MODE not present anymore.

I bought this new Casio Exilim EX-S10 Model as an upgrade to my older Casio model. I've only had it for three days now and so far I find the new features it offers as outstanding. It's a definite improvement especially taking pictures at dark situations. Pictures came out clear and crisp. Such a powerful point and shoot camera for the price. Battery life is great as well. The new slide show modes and You Tube modes are excellent.

However, there are only two things I've noticed with this model:

1. Manual focusing is almost non-existent. It's difficult to take super close-ups without blurring the focus. But with practice, I'm sure I can make it work.

2. The added BEST SHOT modes are great but one thing I've noticed missing is the BEST SHOT COUPLING MODE. It will not be sorely missed but it's a best shot mode that Casio should have retained.

It is definitely slim, but not frail. Very sturdy for its compact design and lightweight.

All in all, it's a great camera.
