This is absolutely the WORSE excuse for a digital camera I have ever witnessed. AWFUL is the only word I can use to describe thid camera. Don"t buy!!!!!!

Purchased this for my12 year old son for Christmas as a general use camera. I didn't expect anything fancy...just something basic to allow him to take fun photos. This camera is worse than worse...every shot is reddish and blurry. What a disappointing gift this was to give. This was far worse than the initial 2 Megapixel camera we initially purchased back when digital cameras were first on the market. Don't buy. If I could rate it less than a 1, I would.

Every photo is blurry. Can't get a steady pic even when I set the camera on a solid surface. Sucks the life out of the batteries after about 20 photos. Camera shuts itself off after every photo. Cover on battery compartment is difficult to open and the hinge appears to be flimsy. Doesn't come with printed directions, and the instructions on-line are pretty cryptic. Doesn't come with a camera bag.

This camera is worthless.

Worst camera ever! The picture quality is rubbish, the HD video quality is the worst and it doesn't even record any sound.
THERE IS NO OPTICAL ZOOM!!
The camera also doesn't even show you the picture after you take it and the flash turns off after every shot.
Oh and it broke after 1 month.

This camera is terrible. I had it only 2 months before it broke. The pictures do not come out clear and one day it just stopped working. It takes 3 AAA batteries that continuely go dead. I would not recommend buying this to anyone. Spend a couple more dollars and get something worth while. I tried to save a buck and ended up spending even more, Waste of money!

This is the worst product I have ever used. The camera broke after I had only used it for less than a year. The customer service sucks too. If you want to buy a terrible product and waste your money, then this is the product for you. They also make you pay to mail in the product to get it replaced. Worst product ever DO NOT BUY...

Lightweight, large LCD screen, nice image quality (including HD), pretty much everything

Does not come with a carrying case or protective cover on the LCD, controls might be complicated at first, the flash goes off after the camera makes the picture taking sound which may result in blurry photos.

I previously had a Vivitar 3750 and hated the resolution especially when they transferred to the computer, but when I saw an x024 for less than $50 I could not pass it up. The controls and icons are a little bit complicated unless one has experience with Vivitar products, but really there's no way to mess up, you just need to sit down and fiddle with it for a bit and you'll start to understand how it works.

So far this has been a definite upgrade. I know I won't be taking any fancy photography or action shots, but my main use is taking pictures for a blog and to share with family and friends, for which this camera is perfect.

This is the worst deal I made for a camera. I simply cannot get a sharp picture. I tried all modes, settings. It gives a FUZZY PICTURE for all long shots. I am terribly disappointed. I am taking this CAMERA BACK. DO NOT BUY VIVITAR X024 CAMERA !!!

I wanted a small digital camera that was easy to handle and store in my purse. I am so disappointed with the quality of pictures that this cute, little Vivitar camera takes. I have taken 100 pictures and "maybe" have two keepers. I find it very hard to see anything on the screen in order to review and need to load the pictures of my camera to know if I have a good shot or not. It is almost like the old days when you didn't know if you had a good shot or not until the picture was developed. I will never buy another Vivitar and wish I would have spent the extra money to buy another Cannon.

Easy Navigation (If you know what to look for.)

Shutter speed.
Does not give view of picture immediately after taking.(Easily fixed by pushing trash button(Right D-Pad), and you can choose Yes or No.)
Does eat through batteries very quickly.

This was given to me as a gift for Christmas. I enjoy taking lots of crazy fun pictures of life. People just being goofy and those little moments that make you go "Awww" or laugh hysterically. My first time using, I did not read the manual and just had a go at it. I quickly was able to navigate the menu and find all my settings and preferences. While I enjoy this camera very much, it does eat through batteries very quickly.
