    Strength:

perfect for to days second hand market prices. entry level medium format digital back. in the studio with flash light you get outstanding results.

    Weakness:

can not be used outside of the studio. but in my point of view this is not problem regarding the age of this cameraback. use it in the studio an you are fine.

this cameraback from PhaseOne is the very first camera back that was produced . The LightPhase was produced in 4 generation (BB00, BB01, BB02 and BB03) BB03 was the last generation and is the exact equivalence to a H5 which is was later re branded as. Even today this is a perfect why for amateurs to start with digital medium format photograhy wihout spending a lot of money. you will find those back recently on ebay auctions for more or less about 1500 dollars. For your own convinience and peace of mind I would choose to get a back which is not BB00, BB01 is OHCI compliant but only work in 12volt mode. All backs past this works perfect with any new computer.
