Strength:
Fast accurate autofocus, records data settings, 3 programable memory settings, feels great in my hands.
Weakness:
Inconvient hidden controls behind door but not to terribly bad if you are used to it like me. I think this camera is as good as the rest. Yes I have a tendency that these cameras are not made for heavy and abusive use, lets say in Africa doing wildlife shots or a photo journalist, but if you are like me, for what I do--like senics, local wild life like at the zoo,and people and a little tender loving care these cameras should last me a life time. Customer Service No experence with minota directly.Must mean I have a good product.tehe Similar Products Used: 600si I love for only one reason,it's easy to use, but I still favor the 800si more. |

Strength:
Excellent overall. Easy to use. Outstanding flash range. I probably don't use 50% of the camera's capabilities...my fault only.
Weakness:
Yes! Film rewound in middle of roll on several occasions. Repaired once, then malfunctioned the same day it was returned to me. Repaired a second time and seems to be o.k. now. Problem also with mirror locking up. Battery was fresh. Occ'd twice within three days. As a result of these problems, I used an inferior camera on an Alaska trip resulting in less-than-satisfactory results, and lost an outstanding shot of four coyotes in the California desert because of the mirror malfunction. A great camera IF I can get it into working condition. Good for an intermediate photog like me once I learn the electronic "ropes". Customer Service Currently, Minolta is responding to my complaints. Will advise further when the problem is resolved. Similar Products Used: Older generation of same design. Good results. |
