Strength:
99% Pro Features and Performance. Hell!...It's a Nikon! 'nuff said!
Weakness:
No mirror Lock-up and View-Finder Shut-out. A camera that truly grows with you and your skill. Candid shots turn out better with the auto program setting, tweakable when you want to get creative and fancy. Next best thing to the F5. More features like the F5 would be great but unrealistic given the price difference (S$900 less the the F5) If it did have the features of the F5, who would buy the F5 then? Apart from not having the mirror lock-up, viewfinder shut-out (though it comes with a slide-cap to shield the viewfinder from stray light)or the RGB Matrix...it is still a fine camera given the fact that years before cameras like these came along, pros and amatuer were still shooting incredible shots! For me, the F100 is worth every cent I pay for and would be a keeper! Customer Service Not bad, good repair service but expensive. Similar Products Used: Nikon FG,FM2,FE2,F3,F3HP,F4,F4s |

Does what it is supposed to do (Enable me to take great photographs)
Weakness:
none (Apart from no MLU ! The F100 is one of the most capable camera bodies out there, And it instills confidence while shooting (And it feels like it will last a life time (Unlike the EOS-3 !)) Customer Service Note needed Similar Products Used: EOS-3 (Felt plasticy, And ECF was a joke) |

Ergonomics - handles great. Very good construction. Accurate metering and fast AF. Lighter and smaller than the F5
Weakness:
wish it had a manual film winder and full-frame viewfinder like the F5. No film leader out rewind setting. Robust, high-performance camera in a travel-sized package. Similar Products Used: Owned Nikon N90s and Pentax PZ-1 |
