Strength:
Durable and Solid
Weakness:
Prism not changeable I got the titanium version, the FM2/T. I fell in love with the camera the moment I opened the box. The titanium version has a very nice metallic grey exterior. So far the camera has been working great - totally manual and makes the photographer in you think about taking pictures. Everything has a solid feel to it, guaranteed to last longer than your marriage. Customer Service Haven't used it Similar Products Used: N70 |

Strength:
BUILT LIKE A TANK. Extended mechanical shutter speeds, high flash sync, almost as versatile as a leaf-shutter camera for fill flash, takes all nikon lenses (non-AI need modified) except mirror lock-up ones, simple metering
Weakness:
no TTL flash (would be nice considering the high flash-sync speed), no high eyepoint finder (I wear glasses). It's THE workhorse 35mm SLR camera for almost any application Customer Service never needed it, have used many different FM2s and they are all tough. FM2N Body
Strength:
It has that nostalgic opto-mechanical feel when you craft your photographic masterpiece.
Weakness:
It has no TTL and spot meter exposure mode. This is the test-camera tool that separates the wannabes from the sublime. Customer Service None yet since I dropped it from the van! Similar Products Used: Minolta X700, Hasselblad 500CM, and an old Canon rangefinder |

Strength:
Possibly the best camera I have ever used. It incorporates all of the featuures that one needs for total control! Extremely high quality throughout.
Weakness:
NONE This is the last in a long line of old-style Nikon slr's. In other words, a classic. Buy one before it becomes a part of Nikons past!!! Customer Service Never needed service for a Nikon. Similar Products Used: All major brands of upper-line slr's. |

Strength:
Relatively light, durable, works in humid surroundings, uses my AF lenses. Can be used for long exposures without draining batteries. Good for travel.
Weakness:
Viewfinder is a bit dim. No TTL flash. Basic 70s-style mechanical camera with hi-tech shutter, high reliability. Forces you to think about what you're doing. Good travel camera, unless you use flash a lot. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Contax 139Q |

Weakness:
Not spotmeter, no TTL flash Very good camera. A couple of years ago I started to use manual focus camera's again. FM2N Body
Strength:
Reliability of a Nikon camera. Compact. Wide choices of lenses and accessories. Strong and powerful as Shaquille O'Neal. Fully manual, thus, no batteries required. Build to last like the Pyramids of Egypt. Beautiful as a morning rose, with the MD 12 motor drive. Availability of polaroid back.
Weakness:
Heavy with the MD 12. Bothersome film rewind crank with vertical shooting. Chrome version has lower resale value than black. Attractive to thieves Bought my first FM2 in mid 80's, and fell in love with it. I sold it a few years later for the money. But, I had guilt feelings and nightmares, so I went out and bought another one. The nightmares surprisingly ceased.
