Strength:
ease of use. easily upgradeable. the price is definitely a plus.
Weakness:
had trouble with extreme closeups. I am an novice in the field of photography but I know what I like. This camera is great. I made the upgrade from a point and shoot and was not disapointed. I choose the nikon over the other comparable choices, such as the canon rebel 2000. Just the simple finger ergonomics made the biggest difference. This is an excellent choice for beginners. Customer Service ritz camera is ponte vedra, fl is great. Similar Products Used: canon rebel 2000 |

Strength:
Light weight. Metal lens mount. Good metering system
Weakness:
Hand grip is too short to hold It's my first SLR. It's a good camera over all. The metering is accurate. The top flash is great (only the guide number is a bit small), didn't disappoint me, Nikon. Metal lens mount is a plus at this entry level SLR. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: F60 |

Strength:
Easy to learn. Not too expensive, so if you find that you don't like photograpy it is not such a loss.
Weakness:
A little plasticy, but that also makes it light to carry(a little bit of a strength) Great starter camera. Came with NIkor 28-80mm lens. If you find you like taking pictures, invest in a decent lens. Easy to use and learn the built in features. It is not so complicated that I am afraid to explore photography. I might waste a little film, but I learn with every roll of film. |

Strength:
light weight. good auto focus,
Weakness:
F---- in every other aspect of a good camera useless built in flash, very, very, very poor matrix metering system onl produces grossly over or under exposed pictures a F grade all around only takes decent pictures in manual mode with non decitcate flash? This is one lousy camera buy it at your own risk. Very sad camera that nikon should be ashamed to but there name on . Light weight POS that cant even be used sucessfully as a fishing weight or door stop. Customer Service None hopefully the store I bought this worthless POS n65 wont screw me into a store credit and I can get a full refund. Strength:
Value Ease of use overall decent quality Great entry level camera
Weakness:
Lack of more advanced control options Slow flash sync This was my first SLR purchase and I'm very pleased with it. I started off using the program modes until I became comfortable enough to start making decisions on my own. The flexibility of this camera is very good. There are some features that I would like it to have (such as the ability to change film speed manually and faster flash synch) but I still have not outgrown this camera. The image quality has been great and the controls are straight forward for the most part. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Minolta Maxxum 400si Canon Rebel |

Strength:
Good handling, exposure system, price, optional battery pack
Weakness:
plastic film guide rails (yuk) no exposure compensation awkward manual overide placement of focus area selector At first I thought I had made a mistake buying this camera. Seemed cheap and plasticy...But after 9 months use I have grown to appreciate this camera. Handles great with the optional battery pack attached. Good exposures and autofocus. Compact size and reasonably quiet in use. Good value for the money. Similar Products Used: many Nikon SLR's |

Strength:
Ease of use in Manual and Auto modes. Lightweight and easy to handle.
Weakness:
Film rewinds all the way back into the cartidge without a tail for speedier loading during the developing proccess. I have been out of photography since 1987 when I left the Army. I recently decided to get back into taking and developing my own B&W pictures. I picked the Nikon N65 because of the reviews here. Customer Service Never needed. Strength:
ease of use, clarity, value
Weakness:
none yet I bought the F65/N65 for my trip to Cancun. The choice was between a 35mm and a digital camera. I went with the F65 because i didn't want to pay an arm an a leg for photo quality digital camera. I was definitly impressed with the ease of use, and the clarity I was able to get. It was a HUGE difference from regular point and shoot cameras. The F65 opened my eyes to photography and would recommend it to anyone getting into photography. price paid $499 CDN Customer Service N/A |
