I have the OM-4T Black, which is essentially the same as the Ti. It's a great camera - light weight, yet rugged and dependable. It's multi-spot metering system is unmatched and gives very accurate readings. You can also do fill-flash at high shutter speeds using the dedicated F280 flash. The Zuiko lens line is great - small and compact, yet producing excellent images that rival the best optics. It's macro photography system is some of the best around.
Weakness:
No problems encountered, though I wish there was an AF version that could be compatitble with the MF lenses ala Nikon and Pentax. Don't get this camera if you want auto-everything. It's a thinking person's camera that supports your creative visions. Unfortunately, it's also very expensive to buy new equipment, but good used gear is readily available at very reasonable prices. Customer Service Olympus USA does not market the OM line, choosing to concentrate on the P&S and digital market. Hence not many people are aware of it's attributes anymore - a shame, because it's really a great system. Similar Products Used: Olympus OM-2SP, OM-2N, OM-1N. Have also used Contax, Nikon, Canon. |
