Strength:

Go anywhere with it...about the size of a wallet.
Excellent picture quality despite small size...if shutter used properly.
Foolproof loading.
Great quality and finish

Weakness:

Red eye doesn't always work.
You can't reload partially exposed film.
No zoom (more expensive models have a zoom lens)

I managed to snag a display model without a box or a strap for only $17.99, so I made a minimum investment without expecting much in return. Boy was I wrong. This camera takes some serious pictures, you just have to know how to use it. You must get used to pressing the shutter down halfway to set the focal point. It's challenging to do that if you're having someone else take a picture of you since they're unfamiliar with it. Make sure you send them to a Kodak Processsing Center (Target has these) and not some drug store. Red-eye reduction could be better, but other than that a great camera, and an ever greater buy for me!

Strength:

Extremely small size. Great picture quality! Even looks extremely attractive.

Weakness:

Moderately slow lense isnt the sharpest available, but still great bang for the buck!

Bought this camera last February on a trip to Wal-Mart to buy a disposable camera. Saw it so extremely cheap and decided on the whim to buy it. I could have not made a better purchase! I've taken almost 30 rolls of film over the past year with this camera, and I continue to be extremely happy with picture quality. I carry it everywhere I go so I will never miss a picture. With Fuji Nexia 200, I've gotten 8x10s made from this camera that look surprisingly great! A great purchase; I'd definately buy it again if I knew then what I know now!!!

Customer Service

Never needed. Dropped the camera once from about 3ft, still works perfectly, 4 months later.

Strength:

Small, compact, easy to use

Weakness:

It broke after 3½ rolls

I bought this camera because it was small and idiot-proof. The short amount of time I had it, I liked it and was pleased with the results. BUT, after 3 rolls the lens cover jammed and wouldn't open, the flash control ceased working and I can't get the 4th roll of film out of the camera without breaking the cover. So all the convenience amounts to nothing when the camera dies after the first month.

Strength:

The size certainly cannot be beat. It is a great camera for those situations where space is at a premium. Takes excellent, clear outdoor shots. Like the index print.

Weakness:

Takes absolutely horrendous photos in low-light situations. The button/shutter delay takes much getting used to. The flash is both easily damaged and underpowered. Not a substitute for a good 35 mm.

I have taken some of the most memorable photos of my life with this camera, but the clarity of some photos leaves very much to be desired. My friend's Canon took photos that put these to shame. A practical camera if you are travelling light, but, for all the great photos of landscapes and outdoors that I have taken, there are at least three of my son and family that have been abysmal. I am torn because of the limited success with this camera. If I had it to do over, I would never have bought it (despite the great shots I would never have had). The Elph series is very over-priced. The processing can get expensive and you can not do "one-hour" developing with APS.

Bad red eye, Interior shot do not come out.

Great for advantages of APS. Exterior shots are very good. Most interior do not come out, irregardless of how bright the room is. Bad red eye.

Strength:

This is a great, small camera. You can wear it on your belt or carry it in your pocket. Everything is automatic.

Weakness:

Camera stopped working after 2 months. I called Canon about the problem, they told me it needed to be looked at. I took it to Best Buys and they just gave me a new one.

Great camera for the casual photographer who doesn't want to bother with focusing, flash, film loading, etc. Takes very good pictures, but not quite as clear as our old Canon AE1. Love the index print and the negative cartridge. The three pictures sizes are great, but I need bigger photo albums to hold all the panoramic size pictures I take now :-)

Customer Service

Canon phone support was fast and friendly. They had me try some things to fix it over the phone, but they didn't work.
