Weakness:
A little heavy ( But a good strap would help ) Excellent camera to move up to Medium format. Mine is a C330s, the latest and it has never failed me. I can recomend it to anyone who's willing to take good pictures and excercise his biceps at the same time ;-) Customer Service Mamiya still does reasonably good services on these cameras. Mamiya C 220 will do just about anything you ask for, but slower.
Weakness:
Comparing the prices with modern slr's I realy think that there are no weaknesses in this system. Mamiya C 220 and C 330 will take some time to get use to. I chose C 220 over Rolleiflex, because of it's flexibility, price and lens options. System is very solidly built and simple. The 3.5 Zeiss lens on Rolleiflex is silky smooth and tack sharp and excells a bit over Mamiya lenses at 24" prints and larger. Over all, this is a great starting sytem in medium format and perhaps the one and only you will ever need. I'll recomend C 220 to any one who is on lower budget, but serious about photography. Customer Service I tell you when I need one. Similar Products Used: Yashica Mat 124 |

Strength:
A tank. Originally purchased for wedding and portrait photography, I now use it for landscapes. The optics are good, and the 55mm lens is incredible.
Weakness:
The major weakness is its weight. A C330, paramender, tripod, and a camera bag with the rest of the system is an awful thing to lug through the desert! I'm not about to switch, as the difference in cost does not begin to offset the difference in quality. Excellent imaging system. Email me for a link to my website with many C330 images.
