Strength:

- ease of use - zoom

Weakness:

- time it takes to actually fire off the shutter.

This camera is my secondary shooter in my arsinal. I mainly use it for taking snap shots and night time shots. A light camera that's easy to use, and to give to other people to take pictures of myself. The zoom on it is very handy.

Strength:

The Zoom 90 is a tough little camera that has accompanied me on trips throughout the United States over the years. I once left it on top of my car and drove away and it hit the pavement (it was in it's case) but did no damage. I was impressed! It is very easy to use and has never given me any technical problems.

Weakness:

The picture quality of this camera is average. I've tried many different types of film and developing companies, but I rarely get the vivid detail that I'm looking for. I am going to upgrade to a SLR soon, because my friends pictures seem to come out much better on an SLR. MY wife and I took a two week trip through Montana and Wyoming and we were somewhat disappointed in the pictures. Many of them contained dark spots that have never been explained to us by the developers or the camera store.

This is a good camera for children and those that get their film developed at the local Wal-Mart, put them in an album and show them ocassionally. If you want vivid landscape shots that truly capture the scene, go for an SLR.

The Zoom 90 is comparable to the Canon Sure Shot. The strengths and weaknesses are similar.

Strength:

The camera has a great compact zoom. It is very light weight and it can take great pictures. The camera is great for me because it is portable.

Weakness:

The camera's zoom doesn't go that far and SLR cameras are a lot better because I have one with a 800mm zoom.

Buy this camera if you want to take crystal clear pictures easly. It can take pictures in the dark and outdoors. Buy the Kodak Royal gold 400 speed flim and take pictures with this camera. You will love it. This camera has a night photo mode, flash cancel mode, self timer, landscape mode, and a lot more.

Strength:

I bought this camera for a gift. While I used it for couple role. It takes great pictures outdoor - but limit itself in indoor shooting, even with flash-in mode, the pictures came out little blury and lifeless. I would recommend for outdoor photography and indoor with superv lighting.

Weakness:

None

I hadn't took many photos - since I gave it away - for at least price range, and quality, I would say, it's Ok for a camera handy for simple use.

Strength:

Nice picture quality.
Zoom is handy.
Quite a few features.

Weakness:

Broke after 4 years --- $90 to fix it at factory, with only a 6-month warranty on repairs.
Most of the features went unused by us amateurs.

The camera was nice while it worked. Minoltas have a poor reliability record (check Consumer Reports). Next time, we will spend our $200 on a longer-lasting brand.

Customer Service

Acceptable, though a bit impatient with questions.
