Strength:

Controls and camera easy to learn and use. Fits fine for my small hands.

Weakness:

Pano mode poor, but true of just about all cameras. Would love 28-200mm but not a big problem (use my Canon 20-35mm when required). Red eye reduction doesn't work when photographing cats, but can be manually corrected later, either using red-eye spot transfers or in computer.

A great little camera. I always carry mine in the car. Have used at accident scenes and for spur of the moment shots. Using Kodak's Porta 400 iso and have taken great indoor shots with little color shift. Lastly, as with all newer electronic cameras, I strongly suggest taking the Pentax extended warranty. Its cheap enough at $20 for a 4 year extension.

Strength:

Super Zoom, Light weight, easy to use

Weakness:

When using ZOOM, I find the pictures do not turn out exactly as I set them in the view finder. Appears to have a slight parallex problem in certain zoom situations. When flash slides out to the left, my hand is always in the way and the instructions state not to block the flash as it comes out or damage may occur.

This camera is great for it's size. The portability of the entire camera with the 200mm zoom is fantastic. The quality of the pictures tends to vary. I have taken some fantastic shots, and some not-so-good shots. Unfortunately, I cannot recall doing anything different to justify the difference in the quality of the picture. My Olympus IS-20 is very much as 'what you see is what you get' camera. Every picture I take with it comes out within my expectations. I wish I could say the same for this Pentax.

This camera zooms out to 200mm with the push of a button. A picture taken with this zoom is very sharp, not blurry. I use this camera for all my photography, so it is used in a variety of circumstances. It is very easy to operate, and to get good pictures.
