Strength:

Surprisingly sharp pictures (when the focus is correct!) and just the right number of features for a beginner-intermediate photography. Nice zoom range.

Weakness:

After using this camera A LOT (and I mean A LOT!) all the camera's electricals simply stopped working. I took it in to be repaired and was told by a puzzled repairperson that it wouldn't be worthwhile to fix. I really loved the camera, but I guess it just can't take so much use. Also, as with so many point-and-shoots, focus was sometimes a little unpredicatable

For a point-and-shoot, this camera offers a pretty consistently good picture, but it's probably best for casual use only.

Strength:

Durability for the money can't be beat. As a camera to take with me on short hikes this can't be beat, it holds up getting bounced around and the picture quality is fairly good.

Weakness:

Focus is not as fast as I would like it.

For the money this is a great point and shoot. I do wish the focus was a little faster, and that the red-eye reduction worked a little better, but oveall it is excellent for the money spent, $85.00. If you want a solid little camera that can get the job done without too many bells and whistles, I would reccommend this camera.

Strength:

Sharp, cheap, simple

Weakness:

not cute
snout

I have the older one which is bigger and greyer. The lens is better than average sharpness, but does flare easily. This is a good simple camera that can take a fair amount of beating (in my case, in my backpack with no case). The camera has a strong and fast motor- more sturdiness. This new one is much smaller, but still has a little snout which is not pocketable. Despite the fact that nothing really stands out, it is a reliable picture taker with decent glass optics.

Strength:

This camera takes great pictures, and is completly point and shoot for those of us who know little about taking pictures.

Weakness:

I dropped the camera 2 years ago and the case popped open a little, but not only was the film not ruined, the camera still works great!!!
I dropped the camera 2 years ago and the case popped open a little, but not only was the film not ruined, the camera still works great!!!

With the red eye reduction, zoom, and auto focus this camera is its own photographer! Truly a PHD camera (push here dummy) for those who want great pictures without having to take photography classes!

Strength:

Great cost point. $99.99 at Best Buy.
Easy to use and more features than competition.

Weakness:

None noticed.

I bought this for my mother-in-law and I like its ease of use better than my $250 Rollei Micron. However, the lens is a bit slower.

Strength:

Good build and reasonable size, with easy to use buttons. relatively quiet operation, not a noisy as canon's zoom shot. but more functions than others in the price range.

Weakness:

autoflash works only with the zoom slightly extended after "on". otherwise no autoflash. this is a design defect.
Focus is average. nothing to laud about.

This is 738G in Singapore and some other countries. An ok camera. not really that fantastic. Canon's zoom shot is sharper, but more noisy and poor plastic built. Pentax has better build, and more functions.....still exploring the camera.

Strength:

Exceptionally easy to use and loaded with features. I got for casual point and shoot photos when I can't pack along the heavy duty equipment. The price for the features and quality is unbeatable.

Weakness:

The zoom is a little slow to respond, but better than the other cameras in its price range.

A well made, feature packed little camera, that anyone can pick up and use for an unbelievably low price. It even includes handy features for the beginning photographer to grow into with it's backlight feature and ability to hold the focus and metering for more creative picture composition. It's compact size makes it easy to take almost anywhere allowing everyone from beginners to professionals to have a camera along and never miss those great moments.

Strength:

It does everything it says it does everything is good.

Weakness:

I haven't found any weaknesses and doubt I will. This camera rocks

I thought the camera was excellent, even though I'm not a professional photographer. It has many different modes such as: bulb w/ flash, bulb, w/no flash, flash, daytime compensation, slow shutter speed w/ flash, slow shutter speed w/out flash, landscape mode, red-eye reduction, and a timer. Its a great camera if your not a beginner but not a pro either!

Strength:

Sharp lens, flash works well both indoors and outdoors as fill with accurate color. Compact and light weight. Controls are well placed. Has a bright viewfinder.Very easy to learn to use.

Weakness:

Narrow zoom range. Slight plastic feel.
A little slow to focus at times. Not real problems especially for the price.

I purchased the camera for my 10 year old son. For the price I don't think it can be beat.
The pictures are sharp indoors and out and all of the pictures seemed to be well exposed. The flash works better than my wife's Vivitar which cost over $120. The only negative I could notice is that the focus is a little slow at times. If you are zooming in and out quickly and suddenly take a shot it might be slightly out of focus. If you slowly depress the shutter it gives it time to focus. But for the price of a half a dozen disposable cameras or so this camera has great value.
