    Strength:

good pictures. easy to operate. strong yet small.

    Weakness:

    it's not a digital.

Great camera. I've had it over 6 years (digital were way over priced back then). I take a few vacations every year and take tons of pictures, all (most) are a very good quality. Dropped it on a sidewalk 3 years ago --- no damage.
I'm ready for a digital now, technology and price both improved, but I will alway keep my 170glm close by.

    Strength:

Very long zoom for a point-and-shoot camera. Lens sharp at all focal lengths for snapshot use. Quiet

    Weakness:

Not as ergonomic as some cameras. The camera case sometimes gets in the way.

I just came back from driving to and around Alaska. The pictures with the 170 Samsung came back sharp and clear regardless of the zoom setting used. The camera was completely reliable and the autofocus faultless for my use.
