Strength:

small and handy, you always can have it with you.

Weakness:

viewvinder is too small. Lose shots looking for it.

Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I use the Nikon f-5 when I am out in the field, I prefer to shoot nature shots. but that camera is too heavy and big to carry with me. Unfortuently, this little point and shoot takes most of the pictures because it is so easy to carry around, especially of the family.

Customer Service

never had to use it.

Strength:

The Zoom 90 has a good zoom range and has taken great pictures. Lots of features. Red Eye reduction, timer, etc.

Weakness:

View finder is VERY small. Do not buy this camera if you wear glasses. It takes a lot of getting used to but once you do it is fine. Have had some pictures turn out blurry when zoomed all the way out. I am sure it was partially my fault. I wish that the flash was off by default because I am always turning it off with the little tiny button. OFF switch is right by the shutter release switch.

This is a great camera. It has made me interested enough in photography that I am strongly considering going to an SLR outfit. Overall a good camera for a great price. I think we paid only a little over $100 mail order. Most of the weaknesses that I mentioned are small and nitpicky. I will keep this camera until it dies, and at the rate it is going that will be a long time.

Customer Service

No dealt with them. We have had the camera for about 4 years and have had no problems

Cannon IQ zoom. This camera took great pictures too. Seemed a little more sharp and in focus than the Yashica on some

Strength:

Great buy. Simple to use. Zoom and macro features are great. Date imprinting works well. uses lithium not alkaline batteries. Flash adjusts with zoom distance. Warranty is great! Size is just right.

Weakness:

red eye flash delay is little too long - subject can move before the real flash goes.

Best camera purcahse I've ever made. Simple, yet feature rich. Great price compared to other cameras in the same space. Would recommend to anyone wanting a feature rich camera for a great price. This camera has a great warranty as well! A great buy for anyone!

Customer Service

Very good.

Strength:

Really good make, sturdy. Good optics, and
fine program.
Image lock helps to get moving objects in small distance (dancing, etc).

Weakness:

Would like it to be
28-80, not 38-90. Too big.
Would prefer it to start
with flash disabled.

Really good pocket camera. Use it where SLR would
not fit, except landscapes. Flash is flashmatic type. Sturdy. Easy to use. Flash mode buttons too
small. Has spot AF.

Customer Service

Strength:

I like the design very much. I like the auto backlight compensation (flash fires), the macro function is very good. The "image lock" function works nicely, but I never found the use for it.
Metering and autofocus has never failed me.

Weakness:

The biggest problem, that I encountered, is malfunction in the zoom. It is probalby my fault, because I didn't take enough care to protect my camera.
Another thing is, that the aperture at the far end of the zoom lens is quite small: f/9. This means that you can easily shake your picture (I did it a lot of times).
Also zoom isn't continuous from 38 to 90 mm, but it has some five "fixed" focal lengths.
The film advances at approximately 1 frame per second, which may not be enough for some. Also the camera takes picture approximately 0.25 to 0.5 second after you push the button.

I like the camera very much. I lend it to my mother once and the pictures were great! All she didn't know was, how to frame the picture (the viewfinder has two frames - one for macro and the other for normal picture taking).
Anyone who want to have a camera for parties, vacations and the like, and would also like to experiment sometimes, should buy this camera. If your are looking for more control, then look for a SLR camera.

Customer Service

The only problem I encountered is my lack of money for repairment. :-) :-(

Strength:

Small, simple, quite decent snapshots

Weakness:

Amateur quality

A really good little snapshot camera that takes better photos than most in its class. We decided to pass it down to a younger family member now, and have replaced it with a Nikon N80 (yikes, big difference in price/quality/weight!). I'll miss that little Yashica for its size, but the quality of the Nikon is really super. If you want a little camera you can slip into your pocket, I think this is a great choice.

Customer Service

Very Good - needed a shutter release repair after almost 3 years. It was fixed at the factory free of charge and they were very friendly.
