Strength:

Nice looking photos overall

Weakness:

The recharge time for the flash, with new batteries, can be over 90 seconds. It is very difficult to use the camera for people shots indoors. It also eats batteries on a faster basis than other cameras. I wouldn''t buy another, and am now shopping for a more reliable camera.

The camera takes nice looking, crisp pictures. It''s a sleek, compact design that travels well. There are some issues I found with the camera, however, which may reflect the price more than the product.

Strength:

None to report I'm afraid.

Weakness:

A warranty that you will almost certainly need is not really much of a comfort, is it?

Having worked for some years in retail selling point & shoot cameras and seeing how many of each type eventually come back for warranty repair, I can not emphasize enough the crappiness of this camera. With the possible exception of Konica's Z-UP 110 the zoomate 80 (spelled like zoo-mate, cameras in captivity) is the least reliable compact camera on the market. Buy almost anything else. Trust me.

Customer Service

Reasonable. Friendly (they'd have to be wouldn't they?)

Strength:

One of my students, beginners showed this camera to me, and we tried it together...i've definitely used better one's before, but this camera ain't bad either. its neat...looks good and the images turned out to be great. i wud recommend it for people not "into" photography, but just wanna click a few snaps on a picnic, outdoors or with friends. it has a lot of features for the price.

Weakness:

it of course doesnt give the image quality that an SLR would give. but for its category, it solves the purpose

A decent fully automatic camera good for beginners
