Strength:

Fast, nice surface, inexpensive, tones better than most.

Weakness:

Getting hard to find!

Great warm tone paper. I print very contrasty negs (B&W Infrared) and tone with selenium to give a full color change. It creates a very old fashioned tone that I like.

Strength:

it has come too being perfect;i se to dis regard this paper, because of all the hype about ilford,i went through 500 sheets of fiber from ilford and still did not find what i was looking for.i have to say this paper is a heavyweaght.to have perfect harmony on a print, its negative, developer, paper.

Weakness:

weight, cannot take extensive washing,in comparson to ilford or bergger.

guess what? i just step out of the wet room my prints are in the washing stage, i had to take the time out to say ;this paper blew me away, you want perfection well this paper comes close.too be honest there is no perfect paper but if you are looking for a true black.beautiful tonealty look no further,

Strength:

Beautiful tonal range Slight warm cast (but not to warm)

I decided to give this paper a try as I was looking for a paper that was not as brilliant white as the Iford I have been using. It has a slight warm which has a very pleasing look. I used the semi matt fine art and has a very slight shine to it. I will definately be using this paper for future printing as I just like the subtle tone and slighly off white highlights.

Strength:

Lovely greyscale and texture for people pictures. Likes negs rich with contrast as it can muddy up lower contrast negatives, but has great capability.

Weakness:

As above, not the best with negatives that don''t have a rich range of tones in them; it just gives me more trouble in pulling a good print than do other papers. I think of it as a niche product rather than an everyday paper, but I know many use this as their #1 paper.

Long tonal scale with slightly muted highlights and shadows- SLIGHTLY. An excellent paper for anything with skin tones or where the emphasis is on midrange gradations. Slight warmtone; I''ve had my best results in standard dilution ZonalPro Factor One. Tones well in selenium for a poppier but still rich image.

Strength:

Well made prints on this material can have a very strong visual presence. Good tonal range from Grade 0 to 5. No foibles or problems in use. Better priced than main competitors. Takes toning well.

Weakness:

None.

MCC.111 is a very fine FB printing material. It has an excellent tonal range with particularly good dark tone definition. Capable of excellent results with almost any subject.

Strength:

Fine shade, very fast paper (before I used Tura FB with much longer exposure times), multicontast is great (you need only one package, and it is ever the right), surface is sympathetic (dryed with cotton)

Weakness:

no

Overall a fine black & white paper, fibre based for quality prints, not too expensive - maybe there are papers with more "charme" (other surfaces), but this is a good allround paper with the comfort of multigrade (used with Meopta's colour head), very fast paper! Sorry for my English.

Strength:

Extremely versatile paper, takes well to cool or warm tone development and tones with ease in either direct or conversion toners. Very reasonably priced and comes in the widest roll commonly available.

Weakness:

Slightly greenish cast with many neutral tone developers if using a potassium bromide rather than benzotriazole restrainer.

The best variable contrast paper on the market.

Strength:

Extrememly forgiving
Long tonal range
Glossy surface is very subtle
Slightly warm tone

Weakness:

None

My exhibition paper of choice now for the last 3 years. Slightly warm tone is much more pleasant for the work I do, which usually has skin tones in it. I find that Kodak Polymax (except for the 'C' surface) and Ilford Multigrade are too brilliant for people photographs.
Another longterm benefit is that the reason it is not as white is that it has much less titanium oxide (a whitener) in the emulsion, which is the prime cause of 'bronzing', though admittedly this is mostly a problem with RC papers.
As well it has an extrmemly long tonal range that really suits conventional films such as Tri-X. Again the newer Ilford and Kodak papers are more geared to the tonal range of T-grain films, and don't perform as well with conventional materials.
Lastly, it has a wonderfully smooth, subtle surface. Just a nice sheen when air dried that is very pleasing and easy to retouch.

Customer Service

In Canada it's very good.

Strength:

Overall image quality

Weakness:

Rich blacks and very nice overall tonality. Filters provide good range of contrasts - almost as much as Brovira used to. Whites are less brilliant than MGIV, which is too 'in your face' for my taste. Slightly warm look but not overdone. Agfa comes up with the goods.
