Strength:

Weight, flexibility, toneability, response to toners. Splits well. I often only go as far as seeinh the tiniest, tiniest change and then get in archival washer on maximum throughput. There will still be a small increase in selenium effect. If you use strong toner and see a reasonable shift then put in slow wash...it will go OTT. Dilute your selnium more than usual!

Weakness:

Surface finish could be slightly glossier, but this is sometimes an advantage.

Excellent paper. Incredible when toned in selnium and gold, but watch out as tones very quickly in selenium and if overdone is horrible. The best shadow/lower middle value separation I have seen. Wonderful base. G3 is flexible and seems to mesh with most negs. G2 is very, very, soft.

Strength:

Beautiful, rich, flexible, toneable, controllable.

Weakness:

Inconsistent, curls up more than other paper. Surface finish is nothing to get excited about.

It's the only paper I've used in the last 8 years. Nothing else gives me the depth of tone, the flexibility, the response to developers, and the response to toners. To give you an idea of how responsive it is, I've used nothing but grade 3 for the last many years. Using two tray development, I get the equivalent of grade 1-1/2 to grade 4 out of this one paper. The depth of tone, the final color after selenium and gold toning, everything .. is beautiful. This is what papers were like back in the day (according to people I know who printed back in the day). There have been some consistency problems, but the distributor has always been helpful and has ocasionally taken back a box and replaced it with one from a batch that tested closer to normal. Some virtual images of the results are at www.paulraphaelson.com.

Customer Service

Excellent. But it's been a long time ... not sure if the distributor is the same.

Strength:

Terrific image tone with neutral/warm tone developers. Great paper base. Excellent finishing.

Weakness:

Slow, but it might be good for dodge&burn.

Excellent graded FB paper. Image tone tunable with developer. Great in selenium toner. Slow, as most warm tone FB papers.

Customer Service

Never needed :-)
