    Strength:

    Scan Quality;
    cool design

    Weakness:

    Price;
    Won't do large format.

    The Imacon Flextight Photo does not have much direct competition at its price point. It gives repro-quality scans using innovative hardware and easy to use software (the PC version of which has now caught up with the Mac version).

    Probably its nearest current competition are the higher priced flatbeds, most with lower optical res., and the soon to be released Polaroid 45 Ultra, which also handles large format. If you use medium format, you should give it a try. I'm getting great results with it already, after just a few days.
