The IBM IdeaScan Color Flatbed Scanner provides leading-edge functionality that enables you to work faster and easier. It incorporates six easy-access buttons to start the following scanner applications: Preview, Color scan, Optical character recognition (OCR), Fax (requires fax modem and fax application), Copy (requires printer), E-mail (requires MS Exchange). (Note: Scanned images may also be attached to other e-mail applications by using mouse/keyboard commands.) ??The IdeaScan Color Flatbed Scanner comes with the PhotoStudio Suite and Textbridge Classic 2.0 OCR software needed to scan images and convert pages to text. The PhotoStudio Suite software includes: PhotoStudio SE 2.0 (imaging editing application), PhotoFantasy (fun application to merge images), PhotoBase (image management, photo-album-like tool), PhotoPrinter (enhances image printing).
