Strength:

Easy to find

Weakness:

Too grainy when enlarged

Beginning photograher but 5 years with photoshop, able to crop and sharpen but film was too grainy, also a bit dark for bright sunlight. I just bought some NPS 160 to try.

Strength:

Color saturation, even at low-light photography - above all "price"

Weakness:

For this price range ($1 for a roll) - nothing should be considered seriously.

I have been taking photo's for almost 8 years now. I started with P&S - then moved to SLR for last 4 years - over the years I have tried pretty much anything available in market - Kodak, Konica, Agfa, etc. But, after much research - I like Fuji SUPER HQ 100 over the others. The price is very reasonable - I had tried Kodak Royal Gold 100 and Fuji Superia - but while I am shooting outdoor - and particularly family photo's - I get almost close quality with pictures with some other expensive films. I had taken pictures even heavy overcast day - and got good results. I use my Nikon FM or Minolta SRT 101 and still took indoor photo without flash-light and got very good pictures. I have used the SUPER HQ 200 - but comparing to 100 - 200's is little grainy. If you are planning to take outdoor photo or good lighting condition - I will suggest to use 100. And, comparing with others - Kodak Gold 100 (not MAX 100) is close competitior. But if you are seriuos at taking portraits - I will suggest Superia of Kodak Royal Gold.
Color contrast and saturation is Ok - the greeen may look brighter in overcast day - my solution was to use a UV filter (cuts the sharpness - or even try with soft-lens) and very bright sunlight use a Skylight filter.

Strength:

I think that the colors come out much richer than the other films that I have tried. Fuji has the best range of colors which come out in the end result. Whereas the other film companies have too much a red hue when photographing people.

Weakness:

no, none

I feel that Fuji was the best choice for the money spent with the best results.

I think the colors are truer. A lot of folks don't like Fuji, but I feel like I get truer colors with the Fuji film.

Weakness:

I like this film a lot compared to others I've tried in the same price and quality range. I would highly recommend it.
