GREAT color balace especially for summer greens...I have yet to try this film in the Vermont autumn. Also great granularity. Also works well with water shots, but watch for OE issues on sunny days. Be sure to use a polarizer.
Weakness:
Moderate availability. Be sure to have developed properly... A superb film for landscapes. Color balance is great, while retaining clarity and contrast. I can count the hair on wildlife shots. Email me for a sample shot I took in Yosemite.... Similar Products Used: Kodak 100 |

Fujicolor Superia 100
Strength:
Nicely balanced color, good contrast and sharpness
Weakness:
none It strikes me as essentially pretty similar to Kodak Gold 100 in terms of grain, sharpness, and contrast. The color palette is skewed more towards blue/puple than red/yellow, as is traditional for Fuji vs. Kodak. Definitely not a spectacular film like Reala (or in the same class as the Royal Gold emulsions), but a dependable choice for 100-speed color prints in most situations. Strength:
Good, vibrant color. Sharp.
Weakness:
None, except for the limitations inherent in a slow film. Well, what can I say about this? I had a roll, I shot it, I was impressed. Better than regular Fuji 100 (which is a good film in its own right, but it seemed over priced to me, so I haven't bought any since. I have subsequently used Reala, which I think is even better than "regular" superia 100. I buy Reala, because I think it is the best 100 speed film made, and it is priced about the same as regular superia. Fuji has an interesting problem: Three excellent 100 speed print films stealing market share from one another! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Everything |

I wouldn't use it for flesh tones. WOW! I friend asked me to show him how to use an old yashica mat. He had a roll of this stuff. I took some lanscape shots of a nearby lighthouse with him. When he brought the prints to me I was ASTONISHED! I shot these photos at NOON time with no cloud coverage whatsoever with bare glass, no filter. The sky was SO BLUE! I asked him for a negative, enlarged it to 11X14 and hung it in my living room! It is a beautiful photograph. I can only imagine this stuff with some outdoor filters. However most of the prints had a small hint of a bluish tint to them. Now this could be because of the very old camera but I'm not sure. So try a roll for yourself before shooting people. But man! talk about blue skies at 12:00 in the afternoon!! Customer Service Don't know. Similar Products Used: Kodak, other fugi films |

I am a slide shooter. Last weekend I had a chance to shoot five rolls of this Superia 100. Looking at the prints made from this film, I was very pleased. I used to believe that print films would never be able to give colors as rich as slide films. After seeing the results, I may reconsider my old believe. The blues are excellent, especially under a full polarization, the greens are excellent, the reds are rich, and white is almost perfect. I have not had a chance to make a big print to see how good the grains are. I always ask the developer to print the negative as it is. I don't want my pictures altered so I could get the real scene I visualize.
Weakness:
I have not seen any flaw in term of quality of the film. However, it's somehow difficult to get Superia 100 in this city. If I have to use print films to make landscape pictures, I'll definitely go for this Superia 100. As I mentioned above, the film has everything the outdoor shooter will need to create beautiful pictures. I'll do more extensive shootings with this films. Similar Products Used: Kodak Gold 100 |

if you want warm colors of your subject to come out, try this film! i've used it in landscapes mostly. the value of the film is pretty good.
Weakness:
none the film has a warm color saturation. the value of the film is fair. I would rather use kodak gold 100 if skin tones were involved. Similar Products Used: kodak gold 100 |

Colours are perhaps too muted. An excellent film, with fine grain, and relaistic colours. It is highly affordable in England. Similar Products Used: None |
