Strength:

Provide more efficiency to the photo(more clear and sharp), with the new blue color layer added and with the Reala technology.

Weakness:

I don't think it will have...

A good Film always comes with a better clear and sharp photo. try it! You will like it very well as I do. But do develop your photo in the Fuji Image Center.

The search for a good film ? Boy and what a search it was.
I wanted a film that I would give me great skin tones
Black Blacks, White Whites, not be to contrasty and be
readily available, Instead of driving half way across the
city to buy a Pro film. Enter, Fuji Superior 200 & 400
the best colour print film I have ever used and the only
one that I have found that can reproduce metalic colours.
On Occasions I have had to pick up a roll or two extra
whilst on location, so I have ducked int a pharmacy and
found that they have only stocked Agfa or Kodak film,
absolute garbage film compared to Fiji, how much better
can film get?

Strength:

Excellent print film

Weakness:

Atrocious film for scanning

Before getting into film scanning I loved this film. Now I can;t wait to use up my stock and try something else!
Grain aliasing is incredible on this film - it takes a couple of doses of 'despeckle' to kill the problem.
A top film so long as you don't intend to scan it.

Slight grain

The best 200 fims in its class in terms of value, quality & performance. Fuji has always been my favourite. Performs wells in almost all types of photography

Strength:

Good grain, great greens, high quality of color, the extra F-stop comes in handy. Works well outdoors as well as with flash.
Price. Great colors in arts too.

Weakness:

None really. You have to expose it correctly to get the colors right, but I have yet to meet a film without the same requirements.

This is a great film, when exposed correctly. I tested it in Romania, most of the pictures came out great. The main problem with bad colors can usually be traced to incorrect exposure, uncompensated correctly by the lab. Good lab+ good exposure (critical in color photography!) equals great pictures. Wait for the right light and use meters with your brains, not just in program mode (sometimes locking exp. can bring amazing results)

Kodak 100, Fuji 400 Reala. The reala 400 has better colors ( I don't magnify, so I can't tell for the grain. However, if 800 pushed to 1600 has no grain, without Reala, I seriously believe that this should not be a problem). The Kodak is simply not in it's level and is of lower speed.

Strength:

Cheap, even for a consumer film.

Weakness:

Garish greens, very high contrast, ghastly skin tones (compared to pro film, that is!)

Ugh! Let me preface this by saying that this is the first time I've used a "consumer" grade film in awhile, so my eyes are spoiled. But I just shot an informal, "low-budget" candid outdoors job with this and got back the proofs. On Royal Gold VIII, the contrast was just *horribly* high, and the skin tones look garish and red (I use a very good lab, and this usually isn't a problem, so I'm assuming they did the best they could with this emulsion). The greens look fake. The customer doesn't know the difference, but I wouldn't shoot this film again, for either people or landscapes, etc. Again, I was particularly dismayed by how awful and blown-out the contrast was--especially in outdoors shots (even with even lighting, when it shouldn't have been a problem). Grain is not impressive for a 200 speed film, either. Next time I want to go "cheap", I'll spend a buck more for Supra.

Strength:

- High saturation
- Easy to find
- Cheap
- Excellent for landscapes

Weakness:

- No good for portraits

Excellent film for the landscapes/nature shots. Skin colors are not good.
Undersxposed this film seems to be a bit greenish, while overexposed - a bit yellowish.
I personally like the warm-colored pictures made with this film.
