    Strength:

High power. Consistant great exposures, on and off camera. Highly adjustable head with zoom.

    Weakness:

head turns 180 degrees right, but only 90 degrees left. Minor problem to me.

Love this flash! I have the luxury of 2, and have used them wirelessly, both manual and auto with great results. Look like studio shots when bounced off of white boards. The high power is great for bouncing or with lumiquest soft box. Flash cycles really quick on NiMh batteries!

    Customer Service

Good, from what I can tell from my limited use of it. Only use so far was a compatibility question.

    Strength:

Power, it works well even with my 300mm

    Weakness:

I could not find a two for one sale

After years of working with the 3500xi I finally gave in and spent the bucks on the 5600hsD. The capabilities of this flash have forced me to re-learn the possibilities of flash technology. With my 3500 bounce in particular was always hit and miss, with the 5600 it is always spot on. The sophistication of this flash is state of the art, and the wireless technology coupled with it's in depth controls offer the kind of capabilities that no longer provide an excuse for poor flash pictures other than photographer error or laziness. The biggest regret I have with this flash is that I don't own two of them.

    Strength:

Lights up well for 24 mm lens. No dark corners.

    Weakness:

Doesn't work with my Maxxum 7 probably because it was faulty when shipped. Or it was used in store????!!!! - hence no serial number. Would like opinions on this.

It doesn't work on my Maxxum 7. No signal on display. No change in distance on the back panel of the flash. Only makes a grrr sound when connected. Worked on my XTSi till I had to take graduation photos. NOTHING. Turns out one pin was lower than the rest. Pulled it out, worked again on XTSi. Not on the Maxxum 7. ALSO: Doesn't have a SERIAL NUMBER. Is this usual?????!!!!!
