Strength:

- Full motion range in flash head

Weakness:

- Long recharge time

I found this beauty at a local garage sale. The man who was selling it had purchased it for his own Minolta X-700 camera and loved it. Sadly the X-700 died on him so the flash was left homeless. This is probably the best flash I've used with a manual SLR camera.

Unlike the stock Minolta Flashes that were released with the X series of cameras, the Sunpack 433D offers a full range of motion in the head, from 0 to 90 degree tilt and full 180 degree panning action. The automatic setting is layed out in a simple fasion with three automatic ranges to choose from based on your focal distance. The F Stop setting is very easy to read when in the automatic modes. When running in manual mode the user can choose to fire off the flash at full, 1/2, 1/4, and 1/16 of it's full power for awesome control even when running it in manual. Also the flash can be calibrated to suppot film speeds from ISO 50 all the way up to ISO 1000.

This flash is a must for anyone who uses a X series minolta camera. Versitile, not too heavy, and packs a punch.
