1) Only full power or half power
2) Modelling light is so unpowerfull that they are useless - I took out the modelling light bulb. Not worth the extra heat it produces.

Dont be fooled by these lights small size and apparently low power - the power is more than enough to use for portraits or interiors or product shots. I find myself shooting at f8, even using the brollys and adding a diffuser. I dont want to shoot any higher than f8. I get around the issue of the full or half power by baffling the lights with a bit of extra baking paper to reduce the power. I used to have some 1600w lights and I found that even on the lowest setting, I could not get the power down low enough. The extra weight of the blocks was a total pain, and made shooting assigments without an assistant slow and tedious.
