Model Reviewed: EF 50mm f/1.0L USM

Strength:

F/1.0!!!

Weakness:

Very large, very heavy and very expensive.

This lens is incredible for hand-held low light photography. It is better than the 50 f/1.4 at all equal apertures. Unlike the Leica Noctilux it is not an overly contrasty lens and can be used as an all purpose normal lens (although a very heavy one). Exhibits a quality in low light which must be seen!
