Model Reviewed: F/4 45mm XPan Lens

Strength:

Excellent sharpenss, but would recommened shotting at F8 or smaller

Weakness:

None, other then getting used to the smaller size, compared to 2 1/4 format

The xpan camera is a great new tool that forces the photographer to look at things a little differently. A real creative edge.

Customer Service

As usual with Hasselblad
very good

Model Reviewed: F/4 45mm XPan Lens

Strength:

small affordable, dual format capable. extremely sharp, just looks cool.

Weakness:

none that I can think of. besides the obvious drawbacks to rangefinders like lack of close focusing and not able to see through the lense. but d*** the optical quality sure makes this not even and issue.

I spent a short week with a hassleblad X pan. but that was enough. this camrea can be the best camera in the hands of the right photographer. it's absolutly beautiful in it's images. the build is solid. but the mages are where this thing just takes the cake on everything.

Customer Service

never had to bother with them yet.

Strength:

Awesome optics. Compact and lightweight.
Good value for money.

Weakness:

NEEDS centerfilter (works great) OR stopping down to at least f8. Filter should be included with the lens!

Superb lens though it becomes a f5.6 lens with the center filter which is sluggish in low light. If you don't shoot panos you can screw it off but it is a bother to do so all the time you shift format on the run. Still I can't help but loving this camera and lenses! Fun/simple to use and great results, if you keep it level that is...

Customer Service

Great in NZ. Shipped me a center filter in no time.
