Strength:

Sharp, good contrast and fairly light. IF helped by keeping the lens a constant length. Don''t waste money on a poor quality filter. This lens deserves the best.

Weakness:

f4.5 is maximum aperture, but fully useable at this aperture.

My first 300mm lens for my 35mm Minolta SLR system which did not disappoint! Fully useable at full aperture, and worked well with the 300s convertor. Sold reluctantly when I moved to AF.
