Strength:

Wonderfully clear, sharp lens, quick focus, FAST.

You will get a lot of attention using this lens!

Weakness:

I did have some trouble using this lens on my Maxxum 7, but no problem on my Maxxum 9ti. I'm going to go back and try again on the 7.

It's big, it's heavy, it requires a very serious case, but duh, it's a 600mm f/4!

I got this lens from the Sacremento Kings' stock. Apparently, it's too long a lens for basketball. I got an amazing price (someone had offered to buy it off my for a profit before I even received it!), which helps lessen any sort of buyers regret I might have had.

It is AWESOME to go out to a football game and see what color the quarterback's eyes are in crystal clear detail. With the 2x adaptor, you get a 1200mm f/8, albeit without the ability to autofocus, where you can get mediumish shots of football players from the stands on the opposite side of the field!

I love this lens, but it is truly a specialty lens. Sports and nature (animal) photographers only need apply. Chances are, if you need this lens, you can find someone to shell out the $9K that it runs new at places like B&H. I'm not so lucky, but I'm still very happy with my purchase.

Customer Service

Not needed for this lens, though I've worked with them on a recall of my Maxxum 7, and they were amazing.
