i just went back from a holliday trip to wonderfull Malorca island in spain, and used this and my beloved Minolta SRT 100 x camera and this pancake lens with a pol filter in front! this lens currently amaze me,its very contrasty and sharp and excellent for snap shots the colours are faboulous with Fuji Reala film and Fuji velvia, the exposures i got from this jewel is fantastic and beats any Digital PRO SlR i use. it has although a little tendency to make a little falt pic!beware. so all in all its very near to the human eye and therefore perfect for the true photographer who take this media serious.

Strength:

Tiny, lightweight lens. Very sharp and contrasty. Makes great macrophotos when extended/reversed.

Weakness:

Has a 49mm filter thread. All my other MD's are 55mm. It only stops down to f16. It is a bit slow, but I also own a 50mm f1.4 for available light shooting.

Not a replacement for my "normal-normal" lens, but a nice, lightweight addition that delivers great image quality. Makes your SLR more like a point and shoot with its wider view and smaller size.

Customer Service

Strength:

Very sharp and high contrast. Very well build.

Weakness:

Minimum focus distance.

It was my only lens when I began the photography. I used it with a SRT 100, a very basic manual camera, but it helped me to understand what's the photography. It's a very good lens that provide very fine pictures. The focal length is very close to the human view. It could be interesting when you want to show the things as they are really, but sometimes the pictures seems to be a little bit "flat".

Strength:

Inexpensive, lightweight, excellent build, very echo/flare resistant.

Weakness:

None.

This is the landscape/sunset lens I bought for my x370. No flare or echo to speak of, very sharp. Good color rendition and nice contrast.

A top lens.
