Konica Minolta Minolta AF 50mm f/3.5 Lens 35mm Primes

Konica Minolta Minolta AF 50mm f/3.5 Lens 35mm Primes

DESCRIPTION

A normal lens with macro capability for the MD mount of Minolta cameras, the 50mm macro is great for situations where one desires intimacay with the subject-such as taking pictures of a stamp, fungus, etc. It is lightweight and works just as well for subjects at infinity as it does for closeup operations.

Minolta 50 AF F3,5 Macro tested on APS-C (Sony Alpha 350)

Image quality full open is great. Image quality one step down is the best that I have ever seen. No Flare. No Distortion.

I`am not a professional but I have 20 years experience with SLR cameras and lenses. My lens review is subjective and not based on laboratory conditions.

The Minolta 50 Macro F3,5 is defently the sharpest lense that I have ever used. No lens of my collection (in the 50mm range) come close. I worked in former times with Leica lenses. The Leica R 50mm f2,0 is a very good lens. But the Leica 50 f2,0 does not reach the optical level of the Minolta 50 f3,5. I am realy sure about that.

A small comparison:
Only at 10m distance and more the Minolta 50 F1,4 or the Sony 50 Macro 2,8 has the same image quality. Under 10m the Minolta 50 F3,5 is my best performer. Bokeh: from my point of view the 50mm 1,4 has the best bokeh of these three lenses. At f2,2 the Minolta 50 f1,4 ist realy sharp and the out of fokus blur looks very nice.

Ok: The 50 F3,5 has only 1:2 and F3,5 but the AF is very quick for a macro. The sharpness is amazing and unbelievably, if you have the chance get it!
