Its sharpness and contrast are overwhelming at all apertures(best at f4)
Some people say it´s "too sharp" for portrait photos

The pictures are very life-like. Colours are accurate, not too much and not too little. Works very well taking people and wildlife. This is my favoutrite lens for my R6.

Impeccable sharpness, contrast, colour rendition & build quality.

Sometimes I wish it were a stop faster.
Leica quality control - before settling on the current one I have, I rejected two samples (all brand new stocks from the distributor) because of excessive amount of internal dust. To be honest though, I think even with all those dust inside, this lens would still outperform all other lenses of this type.

What a wonderful lens. With this level of performance, I actually think it's good value for money!

Outstanding optics, with incredible contrast. A real marvel of a lense, my chromes jump off the light box. I love this lense. I've used the other brands, but after comparing my results with the Leica lense, I sold my other gear and purchased the APO 100 macro. There is no comparison, especially in contrast. Yes the lense was expensive, but the best rarely comes cheaply, and I'll own this lense a long, long time and it is worth the grin I get when I throw my chromes on a light box and the color jumps back at me. Worth every penny!
