An excellent choice for action photography and available light shooting. Very compact and light for a lens of this focal length. Stops down to f/32.

Strength:

Beautifull, sharp portraits.

Weakness:

None that i see when used for portrait photografie.

Use it exclusively for portrait shooting. Get very sharp and contrast pictures. Very satisfied.

Strength:

This lens is a high performer. I tend to use the 135mm focal length a lot for portraits, and I'd got by so far with an old Tamron Adaptall. The increase in sharpness was startling!

Weakness:

The built in lens hood is a bit wobbly, but don't let that put you off.

This is a lightweight short tele that's useful for all kinds of situations. As with most AI-Nikkors, you won't ever have to worry about it falling apart on you. Buy with confidence.

Strength:

Relatively light-weighted
Esay to handle, smooth focusing (yes, the MF feeling!)
Good sharpness (esp. people photography)
Works perfect with extension rings

Weakness:

Built-in lens hood not very stable
No macro-focusing

Excellent for people who like manual focusing
Ideal for travelling, people photography (light, easy to handle)
For photographing animals, focus length is too short

Customer Service

Local contractor in Germany: good, but expensive

Strength:

Build quality, focusing feel and most important, sharp images.

Weakness:

None for the price.

This lens is a great value. There are better lenses at a much higher cost and cheaper lenses for less money. I like the value of this lens.
