Strength:
Excellent ratio price:value. Perfect sharpness around f/8 to /13.
Weakness:
"Gearbox" a bit noisy, the adherence of the paint is not perfect (some small damages in the meantime - but has no effect on function). Sharpnes with Kenko-Extender suffers a bit (but that's normal). Have been using this lens for 6 years, very satisfied. Customer Service had no need so far :-) |

Strength:
1. If you don''t shoot wide open and half life size is enough for you and you find it in a good price, it might be for you. 2. Never broke down.
Weakness:
Not sharp wide open. Half life size is often not enough. Used this lens for about 7 years. Bought new in USA. At the time I wanted a macro lens and this looked like a good bargain. All in all, however, I''m disappointed. As a macro lens it goes only to 1:2 (half life size) and that''s not enough. Today I use it mostly as a portrait lens at f2.8 (to blur the background). Unfortunately, at this aperture it is not sharp enough. Customer Service Never needed. Similar Products Used: None |
