AF80-200mm f/4.5-5.6D Zoom-Nikkor
Strength:
This lens is amazingly sharp and relatively lightweight. A little on the slow side, but for $165, it's a great lens to use photographing close-ups, portraits, and nature.
Weakness:
No problems, just wish they had focusing markers to facilitate manual focusing. A great value! The optics are excellent; every photo I've taken with this lens has come out better than expected. Perhaps not for the professional who'd prefer the $700+ AF80-200/2.8ED, but for everyone else, it's a great lens. Even if it has a plastic mount, for most photographers it'll last just as long. And it makes the lens a little lighter. Overall, a great lens. Similar Products Used: Nikon AF28-80/3.5-5.6 |

AF80-200mm f/4.5-5.6D Zoom-Nikkor
Strength:
Very cheap (currently ~$170) high quality lens. Optics are great for the price.
Weakness:
Feels kind of cheap, though it's given no problems at all. The rotating front can be annoying, and it's pretty slow. The 80-200 f/2.8 is optically better (read : superb) and faster, but for more than 5X the price. This lens is a real bargain. Customer Service unknown Similar Products Used: Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 AF |
