Strength:
Extremely sharp lens, even wide open. Rugged build with all metal barrel.
Weakness:
Heavy, but no more so than other comparable lenses from other manufacturers. Power zoom feature doesn't work on some Pentax bodies and can drain the batteries a lot on ones that have small batteries like the ZX-5n. Superbly sharp but tiring if not used on a tripod because of its weight. |

Strength:
Excellent optics, very good surface finishing and the construction give me very solid feeling.
Weakness:
Slower AF compared with USM or AFS, price is a bit higher than similar class models. The sharpness and flare control are very good, but the AF is a bit slower and not possible for sport shoots, but still OK for taking portrait photos. Customer Service No experience. Similar Products Used: Nikon AFS 80-200F2.8, Tokina AF 80-200F2.8, Canon EF 70-200F4L. |
