Quantaray 28-70mm f2.8-4.0 Manual Focus Zoom w/Macro 35mm Zoom

Quantaray 28-70mm f2.8-4.0 Manual Focus Zoom w/Macro 35mm Zoom

DESCRIPTION

Even with a wide f/2.8 aperture at 28mm, this versatile lens is lightweight (just 10 oz.) and compact (only 2.5 inches long). It uses an exclusive 4-group zoom system and floating element to prevent flare in difficult lighting situations and virtually eliminate astigmatism throughout the entire zoom range. What you get is improved image quality and some very impressive shots. A great "starter" lens with a 5-year warranty!

This lense has been spectacular for me. For a suggested retail of $120 bucks you get an incredible value for the money. It''s fairly fast for a cheap zoom (2.8), and the zoom range is really handy. A good alternative to buying a 50mm and a wider angle lense for your system. I haven''t had any problems with the lense, and it takes very decent pictures at both ends of the zoom. There is a good amount of light fall-off as you zoom towards the 70mm end of things, but that''s to be expected as it''s a 2.8-4.

I had an old 28-80 that busted, but it put in some good service too
