    Strength:

Bought this lens used, not expecting much, just because the 90mm focal, but i must say, this lens is a real sleeper, very shatp at any aperture, nice colors, super fast AF, even in very low light ndve hunts, very clise focussing, and with macro (1: 2.3), as close as 6-7", good bokeh, and 9 blades diaphragm, eccellent IQ, and even decent builtthey go for nearly nothing on Ebay. Not sure is i was lucky and get a nice copy, but do yourself a favore snd get one, you will be pleased.

    Weakness:

None realky, but if we want to find one i would say could have been a little faster, but it would have costed an srm and a leg.

    Strength:

Price, it's cheap Light weight It's glass

    Weakness:

plastic mount slow focus in low light

For ninty bucks it not a bad lense. It has a plasitc mount but the rest seems to be put together quite well. The appeture ring I found to be loose and would work it's way out or f22 when in AF. It's very slow to focus in low light or even on a overcast day. My pictures are sharp, especially shots under 10'. In summary it's a good cheap zoom for the new photographer on a buget. What do you want for less than a 100 bucks?

    Strength:

    Inexpensive Lightweight/compact Takes good pictures

    Weakness:

Lightweight/made of plastic (drop it and it's broken) Design (don't like the receded back lens) Not as cool as Nikkor lenses :-)

A great lens for beginners and experts alike. This is a very decent lens for a very decent price. Very light weight, compact, and responds quickly. I do wish it were a bit "faster", but 3.5f isn't too bad for the price and zoom is suppose. It works very well on my Nikon N80 and I'll continue to purchase the brand.
