Strength:

fast focusing at F4 w/F100.
Great initial build quality.
Full Time Manual w/o needing to fiddle with a switch.
focuses very fast in good light.
Doesn't change length as you zoom.

Weakness:

Longer than Nikkor 80-200AFS
Not an f2.8

After taking 20 or so rolls with this lens up at Denali, I'm astounded and still giddy with joy. Especially considering what I paid for it. I'm especially impressed with the build quality of the thing, (I hope I'm not speaking too soon.) but it feels very rugged. I thought it had a better range than the Nikon 80-200, and I couldn't pass it up considering the price. So far, as I look at a slide of a shimmering filament of spider web stay sharp as it moves towards the edge of the frame, I'm blown away at the optical quality. As long as it doesn't break, I'll stay a fan.
