Strength:

Decent price, tripod collar, good sharpness and contrast under 300mm.

Weakness:

Horrible AF. Loses focus, slow to lock on...very annoying. Soft at 400mm focal length.

Buy the fix focal length instead (the Sigma 400mm f/5.6 APo Macro. I found out when use the lens, I often (95 percent of the time) use it at the 400mm, and since I'm going to work at that so often, I do not want such a soft, unsharp quality at the 400mm end that this zoom offers. Buy the fix focal length instead! Also the autofocusing on my F100 is horrible! You will not be happy with this lens.
