Strength:

Low price. Fairly good build quality.

Weakness:

Soft at 24 to 35mm when wide open.

Moderate barrel distortion seen at 24 to 35mm - not too bad. No distortion seen at 70mm. Light falloff observed at 24 to 35mm - gone by f8. No falloff at 70mm. Fairly soft til f8 for wider angles. Sharper at 70mm even at f5.6. Considering the cost, this is a good general purpose zoom when you may need a ''wider'' view.

Strength:

24mm, very sharp (for the price), i made one 70x50mm (sharp enough stopped down at least to 9,5)) copy from fuji superia and many 30x45mm''s. Light construction. Super power/cost value.

Weakness:

Build quality. First something strange happen and zooming down was stopped at about 30mm and 24 was unreachable (please forgot my bad english). I don''t know the reason. Then, about two months after It fell down from a table and the front lense get free. I was able to "shift" it in and out, unable to use AF, but it was possible to take great closeups without an accesory. About 1:1.1. Then i sell if for about 20$

Great cheap lens. Ideal for beginners (also may let you experiment with macro)
