Strength:

Cheap, great zoom range, decent sharpness and construction.

Weakness:

It focuses a little too slowly and could be a little faster.

A great lens for thouse who need long range zoom but don't need super high quality and super fast focusing.

Strength:

Nice zoom range, low cost for value. Macro feature adequate for occasional use.

Weakness:

Not a very fast lens, somewhat slow to focus as well.

First long lens I could afford. Glad to have the 300mm when I need it, outdoors! A bit heavy, needs tripod support always. Great lens hood. Sharp images through out frame at all focal length
