Strength:
One lens for nearly all shots.
Weakness:
None Just shot 23 rolls in Europe, all 400 and 800 speed. Was a little disappointed in sharpness. Have seen sharper on point and shoots. I have older version. Newer one supposed to be sharper. Similar Products Used: Vivitars 70-210 |

Strength:
Zoom range, means I rairly take it off my camera. I use it for my travel &, horse back riding lens it's been bounced around a lot and still works fine.
Weakness:
I've had no problems, the only drawback is if I forget to remove the lens hood when I use the built in flash on my Nikon N70 I get some shading on the bottom half of the picture. I recommend this lens to any one wanting a good easy to use moderatly priced lens, that is capable of focusing on a subject the size of the palm of your hand. Similar Products Used: I also have a Nikon 70-210 and wold say picture quality is very simalar. |

Strength:
Very versatile, fits in most medium sized camera bags. I use it with a Nikon FE2.
Weakness:
No, but I don't care for the feel of the zoom control. Also, the minimum focus distance is 6' or so, which is too far. Even at that distance, however, it is practically a macro lens with the 200mm length. From wide angle to 4X, the Tamron works in all but low light or close-up conditions. Pictures have been relatively sharp, but I have not actually tested it. Would probably go with Nikon in the future. Customer Service None. Similar Products Used: I also have a Nikon 35-70, which I love. I think a Nikon 35-105 would actually be the best choice. |

Strength:
It is convenient. Wide range, don't have to change lens. Very quick to go from a photo to another.
Weakness:
None I was quite happy with the lens. Surprised sometime at the long end, my picture seemed a bit blur, more like a lack of contrast, rather than a real blur. Similar Products Used: None |

I love the flexibility!
Weakness:
None I just went from the Fuji Discovery (a point and shoot with zoom) to a Minolta. I did not want to lose the convenience I had with the Fuji. I had determined many of my pictures fell into the 70 - 120 range, just where I'd have to change lenses. This lens was perfect for me. I can capture everything I want from a close-up to a tight shot of my son playing soccer. I'm looking forward to really testing it in Europe. Similar Products Used: None |

None A decent lens with a terrific zoom range at a great price. I'm not terribly fond of the *feel* of it, and it is not fast, but it is a good value. Similar Products Used: Have not done critical comparisons. |

Adjusts quickly and has an excellent range. Good for travel and getting a variety of shots out of a single lens
Weakness:
Never had a problem. I used this lens (and older version than what is currently available I believe) on a Minolta camera doing a lot of travel before switching to a lighter weight point and shoot type for getting quick shots of the kids. It worked flawlessly and was a great lens to leave on the camera all the time. Similar Products Used: None |
