Strength:

Awesome craftmanship. These I think are custom made at this size (105mm). Threads do not bind on the lens. Turning the polarizing elements is very smooth and silky.

Weakness:

Price? But worth it.

This is a review of the 105mm B&W Kaesemann Circular Polarizer filter. This filter is extraordinary. The size and quality are unmatched. Very few manufacturers go to this filter size and maintain this level of quality. I use this filter as my primary CP in outdoor photography. In a recent photo safari to Montana, I put this filter through its paces. Even in the bitter cold, this filter was never a problem. It did everything it was supposed to. In sum, I believe that a CP of this quality is necessary to achieve the results, i.e. darkened skies, that photographers are looking for.
