Too many Mine is a 77mm one. The mounting ring is plastic and very loose. It keeps rotating by itself. Smaller one such as 55 mm may be better. Causes flare. Due to its thickness, it causes viganetting even on a 70-200 zoom, not to mention wide angle. Customer Service Send them a filter for replacement. Never got it back( 3 months now). Strength:
Inexpensive
Weakness:
Horrific ghosting problems, flaring. Near useless if you take photos with or near the sun in the viewing area. This filter is trash if you have any thoughts of taking a photo with the sun within 45 degrees of your lens. So many of my pictures were ruined because of ghosting. I immediately bought a Singh-Ray warming polarizer, and had NO PROBLEMS. But, you need the Cokin filter system to use it so I also bought a Hoya Super HMC polarizer. Night and day difference, no problems with the Hoya nor Singh-Ray. You get what you pay for. This filter is only useful for photographs without the sun near or in your viewing area. Strength:
Fairly priced.
Weakness:
The standard Tiffen pol has a somewhat thicker ring than Hoyas or, indeed, most other polarizers. Good polarizers, as long as the ring won't vignette. I also have the warm pol, which is a combination of the 812 and the linear polarizer. I wish they made a warm circ pol, because the 812 is my favorite warming filter. Customer Service Not needed. Strength:
Easy to use, circular polarizer just turn until the effect happens
Weakness:
With my 24mm lens I get very slight vignetting in the corners An affordable well manufactured filter, I like the storage case that comes with it. The vignetting with my wide angle lens is of concern, enough to make me take it back to the store and exchange it for a slimer ringed filter, if you use wide angle lens for landscapes a lot you may well find this filter a problem. Other than that I have taken some great photo's with it. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Cheap price, but not budget quality
Weakness:
None I've had good results with this polarizer. It does not have a noticable cooling of pictures taken with it and no vignetting problems (at 28mm). Good value for money. Similar Products Used: Various Marumi, Tiffen and Hoya filters |

not that i know of This is a pretty good filter, does its job by nicely removing stray light and adding some more saturation in colors. Somebody says that this filter causes lot of flare, that is all B.S. ALL filters will have the same problem if you expose them to direct sunlight. My B+W multi coated filters do show terrible ghosting when by mistake i expose them to direct sunlight. please don't blame it on filter, instead start using hood or at least your hat to cover the lense. When taking picture of sun always make sure that your filter does not get any stray light and your pics will come out without flare. Customer Service not used Similar Products Used: Hoya, b+w |
