Nikkor SW 90mm f/8
Strength:
Very sharp corner to corner with lots of movement and contrast is first rate
Weakness:
If only Nikkor could design a f5.6 version with the same exterior dimensions. I have considered purchasing a Grandagon 6.8 but would it be improvement! Customer Service 15 minutes drive across Vancouver and 1 week turnaround. Similar Products Used: None |

Nikkor SW 90mm f/8
Strength:
Small size, large image circle, 8 element design - good correction for distortion.
Weakness:
Warmer colour balance than Schnieder or Rodenstock, and probably Fujinon. This lens gives you great performance in a smaller package than the 5.6 versions. The price is also less. Great field lens, a bit dull for focusing indoors. For colour work will give warmer results than Schnieder or Rodenstock. Similar Products Used: Fujinon 75mm 5.6, Schnieder 120 Super Symmar. |

Nikkor SW 90mm f/8
Strength:
Smaller than the 90mm f5.6 lenses, but with the same image circle. Lower in price than the faster lenses as well. Very sharp lens with conservatively rated image circle- plenty of coverage for movements.
Weakness:
darker image than a 5.6 lens- not a problem outdoors, workable inside. Highly recommended. Customer Service No experience. Similar Products Used: Other Large Format wide angle lenses. |
